where creativity becomes connection

Maybe the strangest part of being alive is how much time is spent doing absolutely nothing noteworthy.
Waiting for water to boil. Looking for a shirt you swear you just had. Watching a commercial three whole minutes because you forgot to skip ad. Standing in front of an open fridge without a plan. Moving a glass from one side of the room to the other. Looking for keys. Trying to match socks.
These moments are so small they barely seem to register. They don’t make good stories. No one asks about them later.
Yet they’re stitched together so tightly that they become the fabric of a life.
I spend a lot of time believing something should be happening. That I should be becoming, achieving, discovering, fixing. But some days pass without revelation. The paint dries. The dishes get washed. The dog takes a nap. The afternoon turns into evening with almost no fanfare at all.
And that’s it.
A completely unremarkable day.
Which, when I think about it, is actually pretty remarkable. The world keeps spinning. The plants keep growing. The sky changes colors without asking for recognition. Life quietly continues its work whether I am paying attention or not.
There is a tenderness in that.
The understanding that not every day needs a plot. Not every chapter needs a lesson. Sometimes existence is simply a collection of ordinary tasks performed by a person trying their best to make it to bedtime.
And somehow, that counts as living too.
